In 2014 we will be running a number of in-house workshops and seminars for counsellors and counselling students in the beautiful training room here at Sunshine Barn These will take place on Saturdays, from 10am to 4pm.
Topics will include:
Building a Successful Private Practice – date to be advised shortly
Frances will share the story of how she built Brighter Futures from a part-time practice into the thriving business it is today. She will share tips to show how it is possible to have a profitable practice even during the current economic climate. Attendance at this introductory half day workshop will enable participants to join a programme of seminars if they wish (commencing in 2015) which will teach you all about the business side of being a self-employed therapist or coach– the really useful stuff they leave out of most practitioner training courses!!
The Healing Power of Animal Assisted Therapy – date to be advised shortly
This workshop introduces counsellors to the benefits of incorporating an animal into therapy sessions with clients, and explains all the factors to bear in mind for anyone wishing to work as an Animal Assisted Therapist.
An Introduction to EFT – date to be advised shortly
This one-day workshop gives counsellors and coaches an opportunity to learn more about Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and to experience it for themselves. For those wishing to take this further, professional training will be available at Sunshine Barn later in the year, with one of the UK’s leading EFT trainers.
Working Creatively with Children and Young People – date to be advised shortly
This introductory workshop is aimed at experienced practitioners and students who are interested in developing the skills necessary to work therapeutically with children and young people. Drawing on her 20 years experience in the field, Frances will share information on a range of factors to consider when working with this client group, as well as some techniques she uses in her own practice. For those wishing to take things further, Frances will be running an in-depth programme of seminars commencing later in 2015 covering all aspects of working with children and young people.
We will also host a number of training events run by outside speakers – details to follow shortly
